Making up the quartet is Alasdair MacCaluim who is the Gaelic Development Officer at  the Scottish Parliament (and MG Alba board member!)  

All four of us were amongst a lively and enthusiastic audience who attended  the Scottish Parliamentary Launch of Freeview Platform of Gaelic Language TV MGAlba on the evening of Weds 8th of June.

I was there because of the work I've done for MGAlba in the past, and also because I was  asked to provide the Script Writing element of the MG Alba Sponsored Film G Short Film Making Course website. It should be going online next week and I will post a link when it does.

It was my first visit to the Parliament building and I have to thank our gracious and colourful  host Margo MacDonald MSP for a very entertaining speech and excellent Scottish Hospitality. One interesting point which she  noted last night was that MG Alba is now  the top programming  commissioner in Scotland.Maybe BBC Scotland and STV need to be looking to their laurels.

And in case you haven't noticed, MG Alba is on Channel 8, sandwiched between BBC3 and BBC 4.
